Although built upon its 2018 fantastic predecessor, the game features an impressive amount of content and detail. The nine realms are large and detailed, and the story and dialogues are just Hollywood tier. AAA stuff.
The Flair: E
The performance on PS5 is outstanding, showcasing notable technical improvements from the prequel. The voice acting and art direction are exceptional. However, we expected a more significant leap from its predecessor given the next-gen upgrade. The incredible integration with the PS5's new DualSense controller deserves special praise.
The Feel: E
Combat retains its slickness and has been enhanced with new mechanics that add depth and variety. The RPG elements feel a bit forced and could be reworked, as could the equipment system. Despite these minor issues, whether you’re solving puzzles, defeating bosses, or exploring the nine realms, the gameplay is superb.
The Fuel: E
The story is pretty good, with outstanding characters and well-paced, memorable moments. However, the ending felt a bit predictable, and the final boss battle lacked some epicness. The nine realms are stunning, though not all are fully or freely explorable. The extra and optional content is well-balanced and brims with quality.
