Dimension: 4
Despite the addition of a new single-player mode more in the FPS style and unlockable mini-games, it remains a very limited offering, as there isn’t much innovation in the gameplay, and it's already a very compact and straight to the point type of game.
The Flair: B
Although both the graphics and the soundtrack have left us rather indifferent for the time, there's not much to criticize technically. It is solid enough and probably the game's most favorable aspect, which says a lot.
The Feel: 9
The game has quite a few contrasts in terms of gameplay. The arcade mode is generally satisfying, maintaining the old school style of the series while also introducing new weapons that, for the most part, enhance the experience. However, the gameplay in "Full Mission" mode (which makes use of the new Gcon-3 gun) is truly grotesque—slow, boring, archaic... there's no saving it. The difficulty is also poorly balanced. Instead of adjusting enemy accuracy, changing the difficulty only affects the number of "continues" you get, which increase with every game over.
The Fuel: 7
The campaign is short and uninspired, especially the "Terror Bite" sequences in all their forms, which are repeated too often throughout the stages and are not only tedious but also highlight the game's limited resources. The same applies to the helicopter sections, although to a lesser extent. The attempt to add extra game modes is appreciated, but they are really uninteresting, and their contribution is minimal.
Mediocre

Conclusions
Time Crisis 4 is a game that, while it fulfills its role as a simple light-gun shooter, falls far short of the quality the series had previously demonstrated. It feels uninspired from start to finish and fails on too many fronts to avoid being labeled as a mediocre title, or worse. Hardcore fans of the genre who enjoy its compact and straightforward style might still find it convincing enough.
