Despite playing the same as its Game Boy older brother, the introduction of the 3D mechanics surely made for a rather thoughtful title when it first landed on the developers' working desks.
The Flair: B
It's a Virtual Boy title so that alone is a handicap to battle against - not very fancy to deal with a headache amidst all the fun. However, graphics are actually quite good, especially the enemies and their sprites, and the sound is very decent as well.
The Feel: F
The gameplay is really unbeatable in terms of what you'd expect from a platformer in 1995, and the 3D mechanics are clever and complement the Wario experience perfectly. Really the cream of the crop for this system regarding gameplay and fun in whole.
The Fuel: E
Perhaps the game is a bit short, and there could be some more levels, but their design is fantastic, they're full of secrets, and the drive to achieve the maximum coins and treasures actually means something since there are multiple endings depending on those. Outstanding overall.

Conclusions
Crazy fun, fantastic level design and fair amount of hours in content if you want to beat it fair and square with the best ending. We couldn't strongly recommend anyone to buy themselves a Virtual Boy, but if there was such a thing as a system seller for it, it would definitely be VB Wario Land. It really is an excellent game.
